A Nigerian creative marketing agency, E-Vast Marketing Agency, has announced a strategic repositioning of its business, shifting from its previous identity as a social media and content execution agency to a broader focus on marketing campaigns, creative advertising and strategy-led brand growth.

The transition, unveiled last week, reflects a growing shift in Nigeria’s marketing landscape, where businesses are increasingly seeking partners that can link creative output to measurable business outcomes rather than simply produce content.

For many brands, the challenge is no longer visibility but effectiveness—how to convert attention into demand and engagement into sustainable growth. E-Vast said its repositioning is designed to address that need.

Founded three years ago, the agency initially built its reputation as a social media-focused partner, providing content creation, online presence management and digital communication services. At the time, the model aligned with a market largely driven by visibility and platform growth.

However, as clients’ needs evolved, the agency said its approach also changed.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of E-Vast, David Orjika, said the experience over the past three years revealed that clients required more than content creation.

“We spent three years operating within this space, and it gave us clarity to see that what our partners actually needed was beyond content. It became obvious that content alone wasn’t enough to drive the kind of results they were looking for,” he said.

According to Orjika, the agency subsequently developed internal processes that extended beyond execution to include planning, positioning and campaign strategy.

“We built stronger processes internally—systems that went beyond execution into planning, positioning and campaign thinking. At some point, the decision became clear: we had to reposition the agency around marketing outcomes, not just content delivery,” he said.

He added that the agency’s previous positioning as primarily a social media company limited both clients’ perception of its capabilities and the scope of services it could offer.

“I noticed that because we were seen primarily as a social media agency, we were limited in the level of growth and results we could help our partners achieve. It restricted both perception and possibility,” he said.

The company described the move as more than a visual rebrand.

“This rebranding initiative goes beyond changing colours or fonts. It’s about repositioning our vision and focus as a business,” Orjika said.

At the centre of the transformation is a new operating model focused on campaign strategy, narrative development and what the agency describes as “engineering attention”—a structured approach aimed at influencing how brands are perceived before, during and after entering the market.

The agency said it has also developed internal systems designed to help businesses integrate creative execution with long-term marketing strategy and revenue objectives.

To introduce its new direction, E-Vast launched an online campaign built around the statement, “E-Vast is Shutting Down.”

While the message initially suggests the company is closing operations, the agency said it is intended to symbolise the end of its former identity and the beginning of a new phase.

According to the company, the campaign is designed to demonstrate its emphasis on narrative strategy and brand perception.

Looking ahead, E-Vast said it plans to strengthen its presence in Nigeria while exploring opportunities to work with businesses in other markets.

Reflecting on the transition, Orjika said the decision was driven by a desire to create greater value for clients.

“I came to the realization that the agency could be something more when I asked myself what more we could give to our partners. That question shaped everything that followed,” he said.

He added that the agency’s guiding principle under its new positioning is to help businesses pursue sustainable growth and long-term marketing success.
