🇳🇬Nigeria's Flamingos have secured a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup after defeating Venezuela🇻🇪 1-0 in their quarter-final match ⚽🔥

Captain Azeezat Oduntan scored the decisive penalty as the Nigerian youngsters claimed a hard-fought victory to continue their impressive campaign in Morocco🇲🇦.

The Flamingos struggled to find a breakthrough against Venezuela's goalkeeper and captain, Valeria Rebanales.

Tosin Rafiu, Mary Dunstan and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi all tested the Venezuelan defence with efforts on goal, while Oluebube Umejiaku also threatened in the early stages.

Venezuela, however, remained competitive through attacks of Ariana Ojeda and Migleydys Bolsegui as both teams searched for the opening goal.

Nigeria finally found the breakthrough in the 89th minute when Oduntan converted from the penalty spot to put the Flamingos ahead. Venezuela ran out of time to equalize.

Congratulations Flamingos!
