Healthy Animals, Safer Tomorrow!
El Niño may bring hotter and drier conditions that can affect the health and welfare of our pets, livestock, and poultry. Let’s take preventive measures to keep our animals always safe #LekeeLekeeFamily eeLekeeFamily!
🐶🐈⬛🐈🦮 For pets:
- Always provide clean, fresh drinking water.
- Provide shaded and cool resting areas.
- Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest hours.
- Keep vaccinations, deworming, and regular check-ups updated.
- NEVER leave pets inside parked vehicles.
🐄🐖 For livestock:
- Ensure sufficient clean water and properly stored feed.
- Provide adequate shade and good ventilation.
- Monitor for heat stress, dehydration, and loss of appetite.
- Prepare alternative sources of water and feed.
- Consult a veterinarian if animals show signs of illness.
🐔 For poultry:
- Maintain good ventilation and reduce overcrowding.
- Provide continuous access to clean, cool drinking water.
- Keep feeds dry and protected from contamination.
- Monitor birds for panting, weakness, and unusual deaths.
- Maintain proper sanitation and biosecurity.
💧 Always remember than prevention is better than cure! Prepare your water supply, improve shelter, and monitor your animals daily.
