A 29-year-old mother identified as Ann Chioma reportedly died while giving birth, but what happened at her workplace shortly before the news of her death has left many people shocked.

According to the circulating account, Ann Chioma, who used to make hair around Jamanze, close to Douglas in Owerri, Imo State, reportedly appeared at her shop to collect some of her personal belongings.

Shockingly, less than 10 minutes after she allegedly left the shop, her husband reportedly called those at the workplace to inform them that his wife had died during childbirth.

This means that, according to the account, the woman who had just visited the shop to collect her belongings was allegedly already dead, leading those around her to believe that what they saw was her spirit.

Following reports of her continued appearances at the workplace, her colleagues, friends and well-wishers reportedly gathered her remaining belongings, including chairs, clothes, wigs and hair extensions, and took them to her grave.

They pleaded with her to rest in peace and stop returning to the shop, while expressing their love and sadness over her death.

This is the kind of story many people only hear in folklore, but seeing such a claim in 2026 is certainly raising questions.
