THE BEATITUDES: GOD'S DEFINITION OF TRUE BLESSINGS.

(Gospel Reflection: Matthew 5:1–12)

The world celebrates wealth, fame and power, but Jesus celebrates humility, mercy, righteousness and holiness.

Christ teaches us that being blessed is not about what we possess but the kind of lives we live.

Be humble, even when you are successful. Show compassion to the brokenhearted. Remember that meekness is strength, forgiveness is greatness, and righteousness is worth more than temporary rewards.

You can be celebrated by the world and still be far from God's expectations. Christianity is not just about quoting Scriptures but practising what Christ teaches.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Are you pursuing the blessings of Christ or merely the blessings of the world?

May our lives reflect the teachings of Christ, not just our words. Amen.
