UMU CHIGBO NIKE TODAY, WHO KNOWS WHERE NEXT? NDI NGWO, TAKE NOTE!
₦129,600 ESWAMA DEMAND NOTICE
AN UNCOMPLETED, UNOCCUPIED HOUSE — YET THE OWNER IS BEING ASKED TO PAY!
This incident happened in Umu Chigbo, Nike, Enugu State. It may not be happening in Ngwo today, but Ndi Ngwo must not pretend it can not happen tomorrow.
An uncompleted house. Nobody lives there. Yet the owner reportedly received an ESWAMA demand notice of ₦129,600 covering multiple billing years.
Even more troubling, the entire street reportedly has no ESWAMA waste collection bucket.
Now, let us ask some straightforward questions:
* What exactly is the owner being charged for?
* How was the ₦129,600 calculated?
* What waste management service has been provided?
* Where is the infrastructure to justify the demand?
* Who assessed the property, and on what legal basis?
IS THIS HOW THE APC-LED ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO GENERATE REVENUE FROM ALREADY STRUGGLING CITIZENS?
Let nobody twist the argument. We are not saying citizens should not pay lawful taxes and levies. We are saying that the government must demonstrate fairness, transparency, proper assessment, and accountability.
Government cannot demand money from citizens without being prepared to explain the basis of its demands.
Ndi Ngwo, wake up! Do not wait until a similar notice lands at your doorstep before you begin asking questions.
Today, Umu Chigbo, Nike. Tomorrow, Ngwo, Udi, or another community.
2027 MUST BE ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY, NOT POLITICAL EXCUSES!
No political appointment should buy the silence of an entire community. No party affiliation should prevent citizens from questioning government policies. No political friendship should be placed above the collective interest of Ndi Enugu.
If the assessment is justified, let the government publish the basis. If mistakes have been made, let them be corrected. If services are being charged, let citizens see the services.
We are tired of political propaganda being used to distract people from legitimate questions about their welfare.
APC AND THE ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT MUST ANSWER THE PEOPLE!
Our communities need functioning infrastructure, reliable public services, security, economic opportunities, and responsible leadership — not unexplained financial demands.
We can not continue to applaud government announcements while ignoring the realities of confronting ordinary citizens.
WE SAY NO TO AZUZA BAD GOVERNMENT!
OUR POWER. OUR VOTE. OUR FUTURE!
VOTE NDC — EBE ESERE MKPISI AKA ABỤỌ! ✌️
