*DAY 31 — PUTTING ON CHRIST*

*Scripture*

Romans 13:14 (KJV)

“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

*Message*

Putting on Christ means allowing His character, values, and lifestyle to become evident in our daily conduct. Christianity is not merely about attending church or identifying as a believer; it is about becoming more like Jesus in our thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions.

When we put on Christ, we choose love over hatred, humility over pride, forgiveness over bitterness, and holiness over sin. Our lives should reflect the nature of the One we profess to follow.

The Bible warns us against making provision for the flesh. This means we must deliberately avoid anything that encourages sinful desires or weakens our spiritual growth. We cannot claim to follow Christ while continually entertaining attitudes and behaviours that contradict His teachings.

Putting on Christ requires daily surrender. It involves renewing our minds through God's Word, depending on the Holy Spirit, and choosing obedience even when it is uncomfortable. People should be able to see the character of Jesus through the way we treat others.

Remember, the goal of Christianity is not simply to know about Jesus but to become increasingly conformed to His image. Let Christ be seen in you wherever you go.

*JPHM Declaration*

I put on the Lord Jesus Christ. My thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions reflect His character. I walk in love, humility, holiness, patience, and forgiveness. I reject the works of the flesh and submit daily to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. My life will reveal Christ to the world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

*Prayer*

Heavenly Father, help me to put on the Lord Jesus Christ daily. Transform my character and remove every attitude that does not reflect Your nature. Give me grace to overcome the desires of the flesh and walk in holiness. Let my words, decisions, and relationships demonstrate the love and humility of Christ. May people encounter Jesus through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

*Daily Challenge*

Read Colossians 3:12–14 and identify three Christlike qualities you need to demonstrate more consistently. Practise them intentionally today in your conversations, relationships, and decisions.

Remember: Putting on Christ is a daily commitment to live according to His character. Let Jesus be seen in everything you do.
