*DAY 30 — THE CHRIST*
*Scripture*
Matthew 16:16 (KJV)
“And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
*Message*
Jesus Christ is not merely a prophet, a teacher, or a miracle worker; He is the Son of the living God, the promised Messiah and the Saviour of the world. Knowing who Christ truly is forms the foundation of our faith and determines how we live as believers.
When Jesus asked His disciples who they believed He was, Peter declared that He was the Christ. This revelation came from God and established an important truth: Christianity is not merely a religion but a relationship with the living Christ.
The word Christ means the Anointed One or the Messiah. Jesus came to fulfil God's plan of salvation, reconcile humanity to God, and deliver us from the power of sin. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the way for everyone who believes in Him to receive forgiveness and eternal life.
However, knowing about Christ is different from knowing Him personally. You may attend church, read the Bible, and participate in religious activities, yet still need to grow deeper in your relationship with Him. Christ desires your faith, obedience, love, and complete surrender.
When you truly recognise Jesus as the Christ, your priorities begin to change. You learn to trust His Word, depend on His grace, follow His example, and submit your plans to His will. Your confidence rests not in human wisdom but in the One who has authority over all things.
Today, ask yourself: Who is Jesus Christ to me? Is He merely someone I call upon when I need help, or is He truly the Lord of my life? Make Him the centre of your decisions, relationships, ambitions, and daily walk.
The greatest revelation is not merely knowing what Christ can do for you, but knowing who He is and surrendering your life to Him.

Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, my Lord and Saviour. I believe in His death and resurrection, and I submit my life to His authority. Christ is the centre of my faith, the foundation of my hope, and the Lord of my future. I will grow in His knowledge, walk in His truth, and live to glorify His name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
*Prayer*
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world. Help me to know Him more deeply and walk in a genuine relationship with Him. Strengthen my faith, deepen my understanding of Your Word, and give me grace to obey Your instructions. Let Christ be the centre of my life, and help me reflect His character in my thoughts, words, and actions. May my life continually bring glory to His name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
*Daily Challenge*
Read Matthew 16:13–17 and reflect on Peter's confession of Jesus as the Christ. Write down what this revelation means to you personally and identify one area of your life where you need to surrender more fully to Christ's leadership.
Remember: Knowing Christ is the foundation of a transformed life. Do not settle for knowing about Him; seek to know Him personally, trust His Word, and follow Him faithfully.
