Currently in Nigeria, Police road block is now a regular activity for the force to collect money from road users

Not like it’s a new thing though, but it’s now taken to another level
If you give them money, you continue your drive without being checked, you don’t give them money just know you are not going anywhere, they will look for something unreasonable to hold you even when all your documents is complete

Worst part is, they don’t mind causing traffic on the road just to hold you.
They now take the road block to the streets, collecting money from every commercial bus, private cars that pass through the road

This is so irritating
Road block is now a side hustle for the Police force

Hmmm

Chi Ekpunobi: Unfortunately it has now become a side hustle for them
Felix: When roadblocks become revenue points, public trust suffers. Nigerians deserve protection, not intimidation and unofficial taxation on their daily movement.
Grace & Stories Studio: It’s really sad when people who are supposed to protect citizens turn ordinary road checks into an opportunity to extort them. The harassment and unnecessary delays make life even harder for Nigerians already struggling with the economy. 💔
