One of the hardest lessons in life is understanding that doing what is right for you won't always make everyone happy. Sometimes, protecting your peace means setting boundaries. Sometimes, growing means leaving familiar situations behind. And sometimes, saying no is the most honest answer you can give.
Don't let the fear of being misunderstood force you to live a life that doesn't reflect your values. Treat people with kindness, respect their feelings, but remember that your own happiness and well-being matter too.
You can care about people without making yourself responsible for everyone's happiness.
