WHO CALLED YOU?

1 Timothy 1:1 KJV
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

There is a very challenging trend in our days where you see every Tom, Dick and Harry coming out to claim being called into ministry. In as much as it is sacrosanct to live for the service of God, it is also very wrong to jump into service without a call or instruction. Apostle Paul who is one of the most successful servants of God and not just a believer spoke about how he entered into the service of God. He said he did not just wake up to start serving God but by the commandment of God. I believe this missing factor is the reason why the men on the pulpit in our days do more havoc to the body of Christ than building it. You cannot have a message if you are not sent as a messenger who has taken time with the sender.
The disciples did not just wake up and start preaching just because Jesus died but were commanded after they had stayed with the physical Jesus for three and a half years and the Spiritual Jesus at the upper room for nothing less than ten hours.
Luke 24:49 KJV
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The apostles were trained and received messages from the Holy Spirit to communicate to the people. This is why Peter did not have a prepared speech after the incident at the upper room but preached as the Holy ghost gave him utterance having stayed with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Do not allow passion to determine your walk with God, but instructions clearly received from God. We will keep having heresies and wrong doctrines as long as we have people who call themselves into ministry instead of God.
When God calls you, you will submit to Him and allow Him to tell you where to stand at all times and how to communicate truth to everyone that needs it. You do not need zeal that is not founded on knowledge.
Romans 10:2 KJV
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. Be called!.
