ROAD TO LIBYA: THE JOURNEY OF HOPE, PAIN AND SURVIVAL

Every young Nigerian who embarks on the dangerous road to Libya carries a dream: to escape poverty, support family, and build a better future.

But behind those dreams are heartbreaking stories of hunger, torture, human trafficking, slavery, and lives lost in the Sahara Desert.

Some leave home with hope and end up stranded in a foreign land. Some return with painful memories, while others never return at all.

Dear Nigerian youth, your life is more valuable than the promises of a journey with no guarantee of success.

There is nothing wrong with dreaming big or seeking opportunities abroad. But please, do not allow desperation to push you into a journey that could cost you your life.

Nigeria needs to create more opportunities, but we must also protect our young people from traffickers who exploit their desperation.

May God protect every Nigerian on the road to Libya and comfort every family whose loved one has suffered or disappeared along the way.
