๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Private jet loses door at 3,000 feet over Abuja

A Triton Aviation CL60 aircraft made an emergency landing at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Thursday after losing a door shortly after take-off.

The aircraft (registration T7-SEI, flight DWC052), bound for Lagos, had climbed through 3,000 feet and was about three nautical miles from the airport when the crew declared a Mayday at 4:17 p.m. UTC. The plane landed safely on Runway 22 at 4:34 p.m. โ€” 14 minutes after the distress call. Ground controllers confirmed the door was entirely missing from the fuselage after landing.

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) confirmed the incident and deployed investigators to the scene. The NCAA said the matter falls under NSIB's jurisdiction. The number of passengers on board was not confirmed at the time of reporting.
