๐ŸŒฑ DAY 4: WHERE DOES SELF-ESTEEM COME FROM? ๐ŸŒฑ

Week 1: Understanding Self-Esteem

Hello, my wonderful Lekeelekee Family! ๐Ÿ’›
First of all a big, big congratulations to all who got rewarded today ooo. I really celebrate you all ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰. I believe one day all of us will get there.

Now, Nobody is born thinking "I'm not good enough." Self-esteem is shaped by what we see, hear, and experience as we grow. Let's look at the main sources:

๐Ÿ  1. Family
The words and attitudes of parents, guardians, and siblings. Praise, encouragement, and love build us up. Constant criticism or comparison can leave marks.

๐Ÿซ 2. School and Peers
Teachers, classmates, and friends. Being included, or being laughed at or left out, can shape how we see ourselves.

๐ŸŒ 3. Culture and Society
Expectations about how we should look, succeed, marry, or earn. These can lift us or pressure us.

๐Ÿ“ฑ 4. Media and Social Media
Filtered images and highlight reels can make us feel we are falling behind when we are not.

โญ 5. Life Experiences
Successes, failures, losses, and challenges all teach us something about our worth.

๐Ÿ’ก The most important part:
What shaped you in the past does not have to define you forever. You can't change what was said to you, but you can change what you believe going forward. ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ“ฒ Interactive time!
Complete this sentence in the comments:
"One thing I heard growing up that stayed with me is..."

It can be a kind word that lifted you or one you are ready to let go of. Share only what you're comfortable with. ๐Ÿค

Bonus: If it was a positive message, who said it? Tag them or say thank you! ๐Ÿ’›

Reminder: If a comment is painful, please respond with kindness. This is a safe family space. ๐Ÿซถ

Rev. Goodidea Sunday Ugochukwu: Beautifully explained. โค๏ธ The good news is that our past experiences may shape us, but they do not have to determine our future. We can learn, heal, and grow into healthier versions of ourselves. ๐Ÿ’ฏ
