📖 AMAKA’S STORY – PART 5: THE SECRET BEHIND THE DOOR 😱💔

Amaka stood frozen at the gate.

The man standing before her was no stranger. He was Chief Emmanuel, a wealthy businessman who had lived in their community for years.

But why would her mother hide a secret involving him for fifteen whole years?

“Mummy, please tell me the truth!” Amaka cried, turning towards her mother. “Is this man really my biological father?”

Her mother burst into tears.

Chief Emmanuel took a deep breath and looked directly into Amaka’s eyes.

“Yes, Amaka,” he said softly. “I am your father.”

Amaka staggered backwards.

“No! This cannot be true! My father died when I was just five years old!”

Chief Emmanuel shook his head.

“The man you called your father was a good man. He loved you as his own daughter. But there is something your mother has not told you.”

Amaka turned to her mother, whose hands were trembling.

“What else are you hiding from me, Mummy?”

Before her mother could answer, Chief Emmanuel brought out an old brown envelope from his briefcase.

“Your mother didn’t just hide your identity, Amaka. She also hid the truth about the night your father disappeared.”

Amaka’s heart began to race.

“Disappeared? What do you mean?”

Suddenly, Chinedu, Amaka’s husband, rushed out of the house.

“STOP!” he shouted.

Everyone turned towards him.

Chinedu looked terrified.

“Chief, you promised me you would never reveal this secret!”

Amaka stared at her husband in disbelief.

“CHINEDU? 😳 YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS?”

Her husband lowered his head.

Then Chief Emmanuel opened the envelope and removed a photograph.

Amaka looked at it and screamed.

The photograph showed her mother, Chief Emmanuel… and Chinedu’s father, standing together outside a hospital fifteen years ago.

But that was not the shocking part.

Written at the back of the photograph were six words:

“ONE OF THESE PEOPLE CAUSED HIS DEATH.”

Amaka dropped the photograph.

Her mother screamed.

And Chinedu whispered the words that changed everything…

“Amaka, your father’s killer is still alive… and that person is someone in this house.” 😭😱
