One thing about betrayal is that it doesn't always come from enemies. Sometimes, it comes from people who know your story, people you trust enough to tell things you wouldn't tell just anybody. And that's what makes it terribly painful. Imagine telling your best friend something so personal about yourself, only for her to use it against you when something good finally comes your way.

But the beautiful thing about this story in the screenshot below is that the woman who tried to stand in the way of her friend's happiness didn't even know that what she considered a disadvantage was exactly what the man wanted. The aunt had no womb, the man already had four children, and he wanted a woman who wouldn't need to give birth again. What looked like a reason to reject her was actually one of the reasons they were a good fit for each other. Isn't life interesting?

Sometimes, I think we worry too much about people who don't want to see us happy. We forget that not everybody has the power to determine how our story ends. You can betray someone, expose their weakness, or even try to ruin a good thing for them, but you cannot always change what life has planned. That woman was meant to be that man's wife, and her friend's betrayal couldn't change that.
May we find people who genuinely want to see us happy, and may we never become the reason someone else's happiness is threatened.
