YOU MAY BE INVITING GERMS INTO YOUR LIFE EVERY DAY WITHOUT REALIZING IT! π³
π‘ The truth is, good hygiene isn't just about looking clean; it's also about protecting your health!
You bathe, wear clean clothes, and spray your favourite perfumeβ¦ but some of your everyday hygiene habits could still expose you to germs. And the surprising part is many of us do these things without thinking twice! π π€
Sometimes, itβs the little things we overlook that can expose us to infections.
β οΈSo here are 10 common hygiene mistakes you need to watch out for:
1. Not Washing Your Hands Properly: π€²π€²
A quick rinse with water isn't always enough. Wash your hands with soap and clean running water, especially after using the toilet and before eating or preparing food.π
2. Sharing Toothbrushes or Keeping Them In The Toilet: πͺ₯π½βPlease, even with your partner, avoid this! Sharing toothbrushes can transfer saliva, blood, and germs from one person to another. Secondly,
Your toothbrush needs to air-dry between uses. Keep it upright, away from contamination, and ideally away from direct toilet. Close the toilet lid before flushing if you have one.π‘
3. Wearing Damp Underwear:π Putting on clothes that haven't dried properly can trap moisture against your skin and encourage fungal growth, especially in warm areas of the body. Make sure your underwear and clothes are properly dry before wearing them
4. Using Dirty Kitchen Sponges π§€π§€ repeatedly: they can harbour germs and spread them to surfaces and utensils.
5. Using The Same Damp Towel for TOO LONG π§£π§£
A towel that stays damp can support the growth of microorganisms. Hang yours where it can dry completely, wash it regularly, and avoid sharing personal towels.
6. Wearing Outdoor Shoes on Your Bed πππ π©°
You've walked through streets, markets, public toilets, and other places in those shoes. Why bring them onto the bed where you sleep? Outdoor shoes can carry dirt and germs indoors. Keep them off your bed and, preferably, outside your sleeping area.π
7. Coughing Or Sneezing Into Your Hands π€§π€§π₯±
Your hands touch door handles, phones, food containers, and other surfaces. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your bent elbow instead, and wash your hands afterward.π
8. Not Changing Your Bed Linen Regularly π
Your sheets collect sweat, dead skin cells, and body oils. Change them regularly, and more frequently when they're dirty, sweaty, or you've been ill.
9. Using Too Much Perfume π©Έπ
Smelling good is lovely, but more perfume doesn't always mean better! Strong fragrances can trigger headaches, irritation, or breathing symptoms in sensitive people. Use it moderately and avoid spraying it near your eyes or irritated skin.
10. Never Cleaning Your Phone π±π²
Think about how often you touch your phone and where you place it throughout the day. Clean it regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions, especially if you use it while eating or take it into the bathroom.ππ
β€οΈ HERE'S THE THING: Good hygiene isn't about being perfect or spending money on expensive products. It's about building simple habits that help protect you and the people around you.
Sometimes, the smallest changes make a real difference!
π NOW, LET'S BE HONEST!
