TEXT vs IMAGE vs VIDEO: Which one really works?

We have been hearing;
posting only texts are good,
images works better,
videos are not working here.

Instead of arguing about it, I decided to study what some of the creators who regularly appear around trending conversations are actually doing.

For this study, we looked at 8 active LekeeLekee creators who frequently appear around trending posts.

I won't mention their names because I didn't take permission from them to make this survey and beside, we are studying the CONTENT, not the PERSON.

One thing became obvious:

Some posts get conversation with just TEXT.
Some posts become stronger because of an IMAGE.
Some topics naturally need VIDEO.

For example, a simple question like:
Would you forgive your partner after cheating? doesn't necessarily need a video.
The question itself can start a whole argument. 😂

But if you are teaching someone how to do something, a video can explain it much faster even when we feel that videos doesn't perform well here, a teaching with proper video will likely outperform the same teaching without video (all other things being equal)

And sometimes an image gives people the first reason to stop scrolling. Your post may be good but without a captivating hook, sometimes, a good image becomes the hook.

So, our problem shouldn't be
Which format is the best?
but it should be
Which format fits this particular idea?

That's the lesson.

OUR EXPERIMENT
We are going to test it ourselves.
First, go through your posts and check which ones perfomed better. Report whether it was with image or not.

If you don't have many post for this experiment, take a topic and create it as (at least (4 hours apart from each other, you can use time schedule to achieve the timimg):
Text
Image + caption
Video

Then observe:

• Which gets more comments?
• Which gets more reactions?
• Which gets more shares?
• Which starts an actual conversation?

Because what works for another creator may not automatically work for you.

We are not guessing anymore.
