HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is a very common virus that can inf£ct the skin and mucous membranes, including the genital area.
There are many different types of HPV. Some cause genital warts, while others can cause changes in cells that may eventually lead to certain canc£rs.

HPV is mainly transmitted through intimate skin-to-skin s£xual contact, including vaginal, anal, and oral s£x. You can get HPV even when there is no visible wart or other symptom.

Genital warts are small bumps or growths that can appear around the vag!na, vulva, cervix, p£nis, scrotum, anus, or surrounding skin. They may be flesh-coloured, pink, or slightly darker and can occur alone or in clusters.

• Small bumps or growths around the genital area
• Itching or irritation
• Bl££ding or discomfort, especially if irritat£d
• Sometimes, no symptoms at all
🔹 Does having genital warts mean you have cancer?👇👇
No. The HPV types that commonly cause genital warts are generally different from the types associated with most HPV-related cancers. However, having HPV means it is important to follow recommended screening and prevention measures.

In many people, the immune system clears or suppr£sses HPV naturally over time. However, the virus can sometimes persist, so regular medical follow-up is important.
🔹 Can genital warts be treated?👇👇
Yes. Treatment can remove visible warts, but treatment does not necessarily eliminate HPV from the body. A healthcare professional may recommend treatments such as prescription creams, freezing (cryotherapy), or procedures to remove the warts.

Yes. HPV vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent inf£ction with HPV types that cause many HPV-related diseases. Safer s£xual practices, including condom use, can reduce the r1sk but cannot provide complete pr0tection, because HPV can infect skin not covered by a condom.
