Post by Learn Relax Watch after work (@Leraww)
Every morning, my housemaid, Mira, wakes up before me.
She prepares breakfast, gets things ready, and somehow makes sure I leave for work without having to worry about the little things.
So when I woke up that morning and realized she was still in bed, I knew something was different.
Normally, even if Mira is tired and sleeps a little longer, I will still find breakfast waiting for me.
But that morning, I went to the dining area…
Nothing.
No breakfast.
No food waiting.
That was when I knew something was wrong. Mira wasn’t feeling well.
And immediately, I thought about something.
If I left for work, she probably wouldn’t eat anything all day.
I know her.
She would rather stay in bed and manage whatever she was feeling than get up and prepare something for herself.
So that morning, I went into the kitchen.
For once, I was the one preparing breakfast for Mira.
I made something light, put it on a tray, and took it to her room.
I called her to come and eat.
At first, she didn’t want to.
But I reminded her that she needed to put something in her stomach, especially because I was going to work and I didn’t want her spending the whole day without eating.
Eventually, she got up.
And as I watched her eat the food I had prepared for her, I felt something I can’t really explain.
Because every day, she is the one doing these little things for me.
Making sure I eat.
Making sure things are in order.
Making my day a little easier.
But that morning, the person who takes care of me was the one being taken care of.
And honestly, it felt good.
Sometimes we get so used to the people who serve us, help us, clean for us, cook for us, or make our homes comfortable that we forget something very important:
They need care too.
Your housemaid.
Your gardener.
Your cook.
Your driver.
The people who quietly make your life easier every day.
They are human beings too.
Sometimes, don’t just ask them to do something for you.
Do something for them.
Because care should never be one-sided.
And sometimes, the best way to appreciate someone who takes care of you every day…
is to take care of them when they need you. ❤️
