Sometimes, the way we respond to a situation can bring out the BEST in a person, or make them WORSE than they were before.
Lemme gist you guys about something that happened to me more than a decade ago.

I had to relocate small for academic runzz …
You know now..person gasto "develop small now." 😄 And I took my daughter along.
She got into her new school with her full "KPAKO" Naija vibe, and academically, she was a BEAST.

Oyinbo schools love to celebrate anything worth celebrating, so within the first few weeks she came home with an award…."STAR OF THE WEEK” …
This was how the thing worked….
Every Monday, a new topic is introduced….
By Friday, there's a test, the scores go on the board, and the highest scorer gets celebrated at assembly.

I was like, "Yipeee ‼️ Congratulations‼️ and every ..every…"

I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA 🤷🏻‍♂️ that this small award was about to bring me one of the TOUGHEST PARENTING MOMENTS OF MY LIFE….
