You see that phone in your hand is not just for social media alone, use it for business.
Most people are just using it as a toy.
An iPhone 17 or a Samsung S series shoots video that is genuinely good enough for client work.
The kind of footage businesses are currently paying agencies for.
And the camera is only half of it.
You can edit the whole thing on the same device using CapCut.
Shoot, cut, caption, post.
One device, the whole workflow, no laptop needed to start.
So here is the opportunity sitting in front of young people right now.
Businesses everywhere need video, and almost none of them can produce it.
A restaurant needs food shots that make people hungry.
A salon needs before and after clips.
A hardware needs product videos.
A gym needs training content.
A school needs event coverage.
Every one of them is watching competitors post daily while their own page sits dead.
You can be the person who fixes that.
Show up with your phone.
Shoot for an hour.
Edit that evening.
Deliver ten clips they can post for two weeks.
Then do it again next month.
That is a retainer, and it is the kind of work that pays every single month rather than once.
Now 2 things...
Firstly, do not go into debt for a phone.
If you already have a good one, start today.
If you do not, start with whatever camera you have, get clients, and let the work buy the upgrade.
A phone bought on loan before you have a single client is a liability, not a tool.
Second, the phone does not make you a videographer.
Anybody can own an iPhone.
What separates you is knowing how to frame a shot, use light properly, hold the camera steady, and cut a video that people actually watch to the end.
So learn that part. YouTube is full of it, free.
The equipment gap has closed.
What used to require a camera worth N300,000 now fits in your pocket.
The only gap left is skill and the decision to go and offer it to somebody.
Stop scrolling on that machine.
Start earning with it.
