Having worked with many small businesses, I have come to one conclusion: SMALL IS STILL SOMETHING.

Your business may be small today. Your customer base may be small. Your revenue may be small. Your office may be small. Your team may even be just you.

But don't despise the small beginning.

Every large business you admire once had its first customer. Someone made the first payment. Someone made the first referral. Someone sat in a small office, a shop, a bedroom or even at the corner of their house and decided to keep going.

The problem is that we often measure progress by size. We look at another person's revenue, staff strength, office, vehicles or social media following and conclude that our own efforts are insignificant.

But business growth is rarely a sudden jump. It is usually the accumulation of small wins: one customer, one sale, one good review, one referral, one new process, one lesson, one improvement at a time.

Your ₦50,000 revenue today may not impress anybody. But if you understand your numbers, serve your customers well, control your costs and keep improving, that small business can become something much bigger tomorrow.

Small does not mean insignificant.

What matters is whether the small thing you have today is being properly built.

So, if your business is still small, keep building. Don't be ashamed of your size. Don't pretend to be bigger than you are either.

Build the structure. Learn the business. Serve people well. Keep your records. Reinvest wisely. Improve your systems.

Small is still something. And something properly built can become something significant.

Rev Goodidea Asks.: This is a valuable reminder. 👏🏽 A small beginning becomes meaningful when it is managed with discipline, patience and consistency. Growth takes time, and every customer, sale and lesson can become part of a stronger foundation. Keep building and improving. 🙏🏽
Deus Nobis Gadgets: A lot of people don't understand this. They want to start big and at the end, end small.
