Women’s participation in political leadership matters.

For the 2027 Senate elections, women account for 123 of 1,303 candidates — 9.44% of all senatorial candidates.

These numbers highlight the continued gap in women’s representation and the importance of creating pathways for more women to participate in political leadership.
