4. HOW TO FOLLOW AND BUILD GENUINE CONNECTIONS

My Beloved Lekeelekee Family, welcome to another episode of REV GOODIDEA EXPLAINS: HOW LEKEELEKEE WORKS.

Today, we are talking about something very important: Who should you follow, and how can you build genuine connections on Lekeelekee?

Some people think the goal is simply to follow as many people as possible. No! The goal is to build meaningful connections.

1️⃣ WHO SHOULD YOU FOLLOW?

Follow people whose content genuinely interests you.

For example:

✅ People who create content you enjoy
✅ People in your area of interest or business
✅ Creators who consistently share useful content
✅ People you can learn from
✅ People who engage positively with the community
✅ New creators whose content deserves to be discovered

You don't have to follow somebody simply because they followed you.

Follow with a purpose, not just for numbers.

2️⃣ WHO SHOULD YOU AVOID FOLLOWING?

Be careful about following accounts simply because you want to increase your follower count.

If an account is completely inactive, has little or no meaningful content, or you have no genuine interest in what the person shares, ask yourself why you are following.

Your following list should not become a collection of accounts you never interact with.

3️⃣ DON'T JUST FOLLOW—CONNECT!

After following someone, don't disappear.

If you see a post you genuinely like, read it and leave a meaningful comment.

Instead of:

❌ "Nice."
❌ "Wow."
❌ "Beautiful."
❌ "Following."

Try to actually respond to what the person posted.

For example, if someone shares a business tip, you can tell them what you learned from it or add your own useful experience.

That is how conversation begins.

4️⃣ DON'T MAKE EVERY CONNECTION ABOUT "FOLLOW ME"

You don't need to enter every person's comment section asking them to follow you.

Build the relationship first.

People are more likely to remember you when they consistently see genuine and meaningful contributions from you.

5️⃣ ENGAGE WITH PEOPLE CONSISTENTLY

One meaningful interaction may start a connection, but consistency can strengthen it.

Read people's posts.
React when you genuinely like something.
Comment when you have something meaningful to say.
Share useful content when appropriate.

And remember, engagement should not be forced.

6️⃣ DON'T EXPECT EVERYONE TO FOLLOW YOU BACK

This one is important.

If you follow someone because you genuinely appreciate their content, don't become angry because they haven't followed you back.

A genuine connection is not a transaction.

You follow because you are interested. You engage because you have something meaningful to contribute.

7️⃣ BUILD YOUR OWN COMMUNITY TOO

While connecting with other creators, don't forget to create your own content.

Let people also have something to discover when they visit your profile.

Post consistently. Share your knowledge, experiences, business, creativity, faith, entertainment or whatever valuable content you create.

When people find value in what you do, genuine connections can grow naturally.

FINAL WORD

My people, don't chase followers and forget relationships.

You can have many followers and still have very little meaningful interaction.

But when you connect with people genuinely, support good content, contribute to conversations and remain consistent, you are not just building numbers—you are building a community.

So before you follow someone, ask yourself:

"Am I interested in this person's content, and can I genuinely connect with this person?"

If the answer is yes, go ahead.

Follow. Engage. Connect. Create. Grow.
