It is deeply disappointing to see the ongoing controversy surrounding the records of Peter Obi’s administration in Anambra State.

My questions are simple:

1. Where was Prof. Charles Soludo in 2023 when Peter Obi’s record was being publicly debated? Why are these issues becoming prominent again now?

2. Where were these claims and concerns from the Anambra State Government all these years? If there were outstanding debts, unpaid obligations, or financial irregularities from the previous administration, why were they not clearly presented and documented earlier?

3. The Anambra State Government should provide the evidence. Let the government publish the original loan agreements, disbursement records, repayment schedules, audited accounts, handover documents and any other relevant official records that establish exactly:

- What Peter Obi’s administration borrowed;
- What was actually disbursed during his tenure;
- What remained outstanding when he left office in March 2014;
- Which liabilities were inherited from previous administrations; and
- Which obligations were created or disbursed after Peter Obi left office.

Peter Obi has publicly disputed the government's interpretation of the figures and has challenged the government to substantiate its claims.

This should not be reduced to Peter Obi versus Soludo or political name-calling.

Bring the documents. Let Nigerians examine the records. Let the facts speak for themselves.

Accountability should apply to every government, regardless of political affiliation.
