Terra Industries’ new agreement with Promethean Resources is more than a mining-security deal.

It sits at the intersection of critical minerals, AI, autonomous surveillance and African industrialisation.

Nigeria needs the investment—but the bigger question is what remains here after the minerals are extracted.

Will we build local processing, manufacture the technology, train Nigerian engineers, retain the data and develop companies capable of exporting these capabilities?

That should be the real measure of success.

Nigeria must move from exporting resources to owning the technology and industries built around them.
