SHADOWS OF BETRAYAL

Episode 2 – The First Betrayal

The next morning, Tunde arrived at his company headquarters in Lagos. His staff welcomed him with applause after the announcement that his company had officially won the federal road construction contract.
His secretary smiled.
"Congratulations, sir. This contract will change the future of this company."
Tunde replied humbly,
"It will change the lives of every worker here."
Everyone celebrated...
Everyone except Emeka.
Hidden behind a smile, he secretly sent a text message.
"It's done. He's celebrating. What's the next move?"
A few seconds later, his phone vibrated.
Chief Odili: "Tonight. Come alone."
That Night...
Inside a luxurious mansion, Chief Odili sat in a dimly lit room.
Without looking up, he asked,
"Do you want to remain Tunde's shadow forever?"
Emeka lowered his head.
"No."
Chief Odili slid a brown envelope across the table.
Inside it were ₦50 million in cash.
"This is only the beginning."
Emeka's hands trembled.
"What do I have to do?"
Chief Odili smiled.
"Give me every secret about Tunde's company."
After a long silence...
Emeka picked up the envelope.
The betrayal had begun.
Meanwhile...
Tunde received a surprise visit from his fiancée, Ada.
She hugged him warmly.
"I'm proud of you."
Tunde smiled.
"When this project is complete, we'll finally have the wedding of our dreams."
Unknown to both of them...
Someone was secretly recording their conversation from outside the office.
The Next Morning
The company's finance manager rushed into Tunde's office.
"Sir... we've been hacked!"
Tunde stood up in shock.
"What do you mean?"
The manager replied,
"Our confidential project documents have been stolen... and someone has transferred millions of naira from one of our company accounts."
The room fell silent.
Every eye turned toward the management team.
Someone inside the company had betrayed them.
Tunde looked around and said quietly,
"The enemy is not outside..."
He paused.
"...the enemy is sitting among us."
The screen fades to black.
