True story of Steve Harvey.
The little boy who stuttered
When the teacher asked the class:

Write down what you want to be when you grow up.
One by one they stood up.

Doctor. Fireman. Accountant.

Even “a gambler like my dad.”
Then it was his turn.
A little Black boy who stuttered so badly he could barely say his own name.
“I… I… I… want to be on TV.”
The whole class exploded in laughter.

“You can’t even say your name and you want to be on television?!”
The teacher sent a letter home:

“Your son has lost his mind.”
His mother sat him down and said the same thing.

Look at your handicaps. Go to your room.
But his father came upstairs, sat on the bed, and asked one quiet question:
“Do you really want to be on TV?”
The boy nodded.
“Then take that paper. Put it in the top drawer of your dresser.

Every single morning, pull it out and read it out loud:

I want to be on TV.

I want to be on TV.

I want to be on TV.”
They laughed at him.

They said he’d never amount to anything.
Today that little boy is worth hundreds of millions.

He’s on television seven days a week.
His name is Steve Harvey.
