Helping people can become difficult when your efforts are repeatedly ignored or unappreciated. You may begin to wonder if your kindness is worth it, especially when there is little gratitude in return. But kindness should not always be measured by someone’s reaction. Help because you genuinely want to make a difference, not because you expect praise or repayment. At the same time, kindness does not mean allowing people to take advantage of you. It is okay to set boundaries and choose where your energy goes. Keep a good heart, but also learn when to step back. Not everyone will appreciate you, but your kindness still matters.
