In 2021, Tracey Nix fell asleep while watching her 16-month-old grandson, Ezra Schock.
Ezra walked straight out of the house in Wauchula, Florida, fell into a pond, and drowned.

Then, less than a year later, Tracey was again trusted to watch her granddaughter, Uriel — Ezra’s baby sister.

She came home from lunch, went inside, and left 7-month-old Uriel in the car on a hot day with temperatures around 90°F.

Hours later, Tracey returned to the car and discovered Uriel had died from the heat.

In 2025, a jury convicted her of leaving a child unattended in a vehicle. She was sentenced to five years in prison.

Uriel’s father told the court that Tracey had taken both of his children.

Why would the parents trust her with another child?
She didn't like the son's wife, and they had a strained relationship,why marry into a family you're not loved?

Deraa: Honestly, after the first incident, I also wonder why they trusted her with another baby. But family issues and marriage decisions can be complicated. 😔
