*A very good observation*

When we go into the forest, we always cut down the straight tree and leave the crooked ones standing.

In life, those who stand straight are often the ones who get cut down. People who are honest, diligent, and upright in their workplaces are labeled difficult, stubborn, or “too serious.” Meanwhile, those who bend the rules, compromise their values, and act corruptly are called flexible, smart, and easy to work with.

In our society, crookedness gets applauded and straightness gets attacked. Abnormality has become so normalized that those who live normally are treated as abnormal. Integrity is questioned, and compromise is celebrated.

This is the irony of life. What should be valued is attacked, and what should be corrected is endorsed.

Absolutely. We currently live in a world where people are proud of things they should be ashamed of and things that deserve rebuking are often applauded. It is strange indeed.
