SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER NABBED WITH ₦1.925M CASH IN RIYOM!

Troops of Sector 6, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have arrested a 30-year-old suspect, Yahaya Mohammed, linked to a kidnapping syndicate in Riyom LGA, Plateau State.

The arrest came at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, following a report on suspected kidnappers who had allegedly collected ransom from victims.

Troops intercepted Mohammed around a forested area. He was carrying a large bag. Inside? ₦1,925,000 in cash.

His claim? "It's from selling cattle."

But when asked for evidence? Nothing. No records. No proof. Just a story that didn't add up.

He is now in military custody. Investigation is ongoing to trace the source of the money and determine his link to kidnapping activities in the area.
