Learn your place in people’s lives, so you don’t overplay your part.
Not everyone you love sees you the same way you see them. Not everyone you show up for will show up for you. And not every relationship deserves the same level of access, attention, or sacrifice.
Sometimes, we hurt ourselves by doing too much for people who only expect the bare minimum from us.
Know when you are a priority, when you are an option, and when you are simply being tolerated.
Love people. Be kind. Be supportive. But never lose yourself trying to prove your importance in someone else’s life.
Know your place. Respect your boundaries. And never force a role you were not given.
