*It takes skill to get an understanding as we have to study and put it in perspective. We are never to get into a hurry to reach conclusions on scriptural matters.*

*HEALING IN REDEMPTION*
*Question:* Did the body of a man born again, get healed because he is saved?
*Answer:* No
*Some definite facts* - born again, made righteous, but his body is not healed because he is saved.
1st Peter 2:24 was not saying you were healed 2000 years ago. 
It is talking about our relationship; sin; reconciliation. The scriptures are replete about healing, but always good to use right scriptures for the right thing.
In Isaiah 53:5- 'chastisement of our peace': Chastisement is actually punishment, to inflict pain. That is why he uses the word 'stripes'. 
The word *stripes* doesn't have to be plural since the issue is punishment.
The sufferings of Jesus when used in scripture is just one event. 
'Stripes' there is actually punishment. The punishment of sin was on him. Galatians 3:13.
Spiritually, he was taken as the one who sinned. That also happened physically.
It pleased the Lord to bruise him; 2nd Corinthians 5:21; John 3:16; Romans 8:32. It pleased the Lord to bruise him has nothing to do with the Roman Soldiers; God did it.
So stripes and chastisement refer to the same thing. 
The fact that our body is mortal does not mean it is helpless. 
1st Corinthians 9:27 helps us to see that a believer is expected to have authority over his body; control over his body.
In Romans 6:12 the word 'Let not' means don't allow. Mortal body is not the same as sinning body. The body cannot sin on its own.
1st Corinthians 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 
Again, this is referring to the physical body. There is authority over the physical body, not there is no change.
In Matthew 8:1- 3, Jesus healed a leper. 
In Matthew 8:14- 15, Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law of a fever. The fact that she got healed does not immune her from sickness at a later date.
Luke 4:33 -35- He drove out demon from a man in the synagogue.
Mark 5:25 - 34- The woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus' clothes and was healed. The power came into her mortal body and she was healed.
Luke 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed [them] all.
We see people touch Jesus to be healed thereafter. 
Power can restore the functions of a man's organ to function properly. The physical body can be kept by miracles. Jesus did that a lot in his healing ministry. The composition of the body has not changed, but the control is with us; in Christ.
The body is still vulnerable to sickness and diseases, but doesn't have to be sick and diseased.
The reason why a man falls ill has nothing to do with whether he is living right or not but because his body is mortal.
