As a human learn to maintain your values.

Not everyone needs to know how much you paid, how much you sacrificed, or what it took you to become who you are.
Stop over-explaining your price, your boundaries, your decisions, and your worth to people who have already decided not to understand.
Know your value.
Protect your peace.
Stand firm in your standards.
The right people will appreciate what you bring without forcing you to prove your worth.

Never reduce yourself just to make someone comfortable with your value.
