SHE THOUGHT HER MOTHER WAS IGNORING HER… UNTIL SHE FOUND THE NOTE.

Every evening, Amara called her mother.
“Mummy, how are you?”
“I'm fine, my daughter.”
But lately, her mother had started ending their calls very quickly.
Amara became worried.
One evening she called again.
No answer.
She called a second time.
Still nothing.
The next morning, she decided to visit her.
When she arrived, her mother wasn't home.
She sat down and waited.
While waiting, she noticed a small folded piece of paper on the table.
Her name was written on it.
“Amara.”
Her hands began to shake as she opened it.
It said:
“My daughter, I'm sorry I've been distant. I didn't want you to hear the worry in my voice. I recently lost my job, and I've been trying to find a way to pay your school fees without making you afraid.”

Amara couldn't hold back her tears.
Her mother had not been ignoring her.
She had been struggling quietly because she didn't want her daughter to worry.
Amara wiped her tears and whispered:
“Mummy, you don't have to carry everything alone.” ❤️

Sometimes the person who seems distant may actually be fighting a battle you know nothing about.
