As you start your day remember that this world is temporary, but eternity is forever. Paul’s words in Romans 13:11 remind us that our salvation is drawing nearer. This should change our priorities. Many things that appear extremely important today will have little significance when we stand before God. Jesus asked, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). Therefore, pursue success without losing your soul. Build your career, care for your family, serve your community, and use your resources wisely, but never allow earthly pursuits to replace God. Make decisions with eternity in mind. Forgive quickly, love sincerely, serve faithfully, and remain spiritually prepared. One day our earthly journey will end, and we will give account to God. Live today for eternity.
