Okpebholo remembered to convert petrol prices in England to their Nigerian equivalent, but he forgot to compare the salaries or monthly incomes of his friend in England. You cannot fairly compare the cost of petrol without also considering people’s purchasing power. Can someone tell the governor that his defence does not present the full picture? House, can we really use one comparison and ignore the other?

Rev Goodidea Asks.: That’s the missing half of the comparison. 😅 You can’t compare the price at the pump and leave the pay cheque out of the equation. What matters is not just how much petrol costs, but how affordable it is relative to people’s income and other living expenses.
