🎙️ AFRICAN & AFRIKAANS-ACCENTED ENGLISH EXPERTS

Mercor is hiring Transcription Specialists to help train and evaluate AI voice agents.

💰 PAY: $15–$20/hour
⏰ WORK: Approximately 20 hours
📅 DURATION: 1–2 weeks
🌍 REMOTE: Yes
💳 PAYMENT: Weekly via Stripe or Wise

🎧 WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You'll be working with recorded English conversations and:

📝 Transcribe conversations accurately
⏱️ Add timestamps to audio
🔍 Identify unclear speech and audio issues
👥 Check speaker attribution
🤖 Help create and evaluate data used to improve AI voice systems

✅ WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR

✔️ Previous transcription or transcription-QA experience
✔️ Ability to understand and accurately transcribe African-accented English
✔️ Strong attention to detail
✔️ Reliable internet
✔️ Ability to meet short deadlines
✔️ Available to start immediately

💡 Experience with captioning, subtitling, timestamping, data annotation or AI training is a plus.

🇿🇦 Afrikaans speakers: There is also an Afrikaans-accented English track, which requires fluency in Afrikaans.
