BORN RICH RAISED POOR

In 1953, two baby boys were born just thirteen minutes apart in a Tokyo hospital.
A nurse bathed them… and somehow sent each one home with the wrong mother.
One child was born into wealth — a big house, a garden with a pond, private tutors, university, and eventually the presidency of a real estate company.
The other child was born into that same wealth… but was raised in a 100-square-foot apartment with no appliances, by a single mother on welfare after the “father” died when he was two. He left school early, worked factory jobs, and spent his life as a truck driver.
For sixty years the man who should have been the “prince” lived as the pauper.
Only in his sixties did DNA prove what had been stolen from him the day he was born.
His destiny was swapped in a single careless moment.
Listen… destiny can be stolen, vandalized, swapped, or frustrated.
The Bible shows us real examples.
Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. One moment of hunger, and he despised what was his.
Samson was set apart from the womb as a Nazirite, but he kept making choices that weakened his consecration.
Reuben was the firstborn — full of potential — but Jacob said he was unstable as water, so he lost his preeminence.
Sometimes destiny is attacked from outside. Other times, we damage it ourselves through wrong relationships, impatience, pride, disobedience, or misplaced priorities.
Not every setback is a demonic attack. Some are just the consequences of our decisions. That’s why we need wisdom, obedience, and discernment.
Destiny can also be bought. Remember Naboth’s vineyard? Ahab wanted it. When Naboth refused to sell his inheritance, Jezebel had him killed and took it. Some people will try to take what God assigned to you — your calling, your integrity, your purpose, your time. Don’t sell your birthright for temporary satisfaction.
Destiny can be caged. Joseph was thrown in prison, but the prison couldn’t hold God’s purpose for him. You can be restricted physically and still be advancing spiritually. A cage can limit movement without cancelling purpose.
Destiny can be swapped. Jacob received the blessing meant for Esau through deception. Later, Laban tricked Jacob by giving him Leah instead of Rachel. Not every open door is your door. Not every opportunity is your assignment. You need the Spirit of God to tell the difference.
But here’s the good news: Destiny can be recovered and restored.
Maybe you’ve wasted years. Made wrong decisions. Lost opportunities. Gotten damaged by relationships. Wandered away from God’s purpose.
The story is not over.
God said in Joel 2:25 that He will restore the years the locusts have eaten. David prayed for restoration. Job’s story ended in double restoration. Peter failed Jesus publicly — and Jesus restored him publicly.
Failure can interrupt a chapter, but it doesn’t have to cancel the entire book.
Your mistakes may be real. Your pain may be real. Your lost years may be real.
But God’s power to restore is also real.
Don’t give up on your destiny.

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus,
I surrender my life and my destiny into Your hands.
Where I have missed my way, redirect me.
Where I have lost time, restore me.
Where my purpose has been attacked, preserve me.
Where I have made wrong decisions, give me wisdom.
Bring the right people into my path and remove every relationship that is contrary to Your purpose.
Give me discernment to recognize my season, my place, my assignment and my divine connections.
Let everything You have written concerning me come to fulfillment.
And when my journey is complete, let me be able to say:

“I have fought the good fight. I have finished my race. I have kept the faith.”

In Jesus’ name.
