As you start your day remember Paul’s powerful instruction: “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 13:14). To put on Christ means allowing His character to shape our thoughts, attitudes, words, choices, and relationships. It means deliberately choosing to live like Him rather than allowing our old nature to control us. Jesus demonstrated love, compassion, humility, purity, forgiveness, obedience, and sacrificial service. These qualities should increasingly become visible in our lives. Do not make provision for sinful desires. When temptation comes, remember who you belong to. You are not a slave to sin; you belong to Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond to difficult situations in a Christlike manner. The closer we come to the completion of our salvation, the more our lives should resemble our Saviour. Today, put on Christ and let Him be seen through you.
