About a few months ago, one of my teammates at church called and was in desperate need of money. Note that this particular teammate was not a friend, we're just teammates. She had earlier called on Whatsapp and I missed her calls, then she dropped a message conveying the reason she had reached out. Turns out I don't even have her contact saved on my phone (that's how distant we're to each other). One way or the other, I was able to run her what I could afford.

The next time I saw this lady, she totally ignored me; didn't act as though we even knew each other. Not that I was expecting her to worship me or anything, but I felt we could have just exchanged pleasantries. I was even about to go say hi but I was brutally snubbed. Do you think I expected too much from her or she just has bad manners?

Emilola Olalekan Daniel: That's life for you.... When people are in need, they run to you like you are the savior but when they get what they need from you, they distance themselves like a stranger.

They forget quickly they will need you again. That's how ungrateful people are.
