Newborn piglets are fragile. The first few days can determine whether they survive or not.
To take care of them properly:
π· Ensure they suck colostrum early
π· Keep them warm at all times
π· Provide a clean and dry farrowing area
π· Monitor weak piglets closely
π· Protect them from being crushed by the sow
π· Make sure the sow is feeding well
Poor care in the first days often leads to high mortality.
Strong piglets start with careful management from birth.
