Something happened today in the market where we were buying tomatoes from an Aboki. A lady gave him money, but before he finished putting the tomatoes together and handing them to her, the mallam suddenly said, Haba, you never give me money oo.

Everywhere just fess blur for her eyes. 😂

She said, Mogbe abeg oo, I don give you money. Abi Aunty, you no see when I give am money?

Me: I see am oh! She don give you money. You put am inside your bag.

Mallam still started arguing that she hadn’t given him money. 🤦‍♀️

If I wasn’t there, it would have turned into a serious issue because some of these sellers won’t admit that you’ve given them money once they’ve already put it inside their money bag.

The lady thanked me for saving her with ndi Mallam.

Me, I usually tell them Whenever there are many of us buying items, so it won’t confuse them,I don give you money oh, I no wan hear story!

Have you ever experienced something like this before?

Because honestly, it can be really embarrassing, especially when you know you’ve already paid and the seller is insisting that you haven’t. 😩
