“I pass my neighbour” mentality is the reason Nigeria is still here.

Many basic life needs we struggle with and celebrate are things citizens of other functioning countries see as normal.

Fuel is 1,500 per litre, and some still say, “Even if fuel gets to 2k we will survive.”

How much is cooking gas?

Nigeria is three times poorer than it was three years ago.

People think filling up 10 different 12.5kg gas cylinders and storing them at home is a flex and makes them rich and comfortable. Whereas, in functioning countries, citizens know nothing about gas cylinders and haven’t even seen one because they have passed that stage.

We still talk about bad roads and a poor health sector, and the Minister of Power was bold enough to say, “ Some Nigerians called him to slow down , because everything in their freezers are freezing continuously “ in this century.

No one born after the democracy has been President, but we claim we are the leaders of tomorrow.

Other functioning countries subsidise life for their citizens, but ours keeps increasing the cost of making life difficult.

We no longer produce enough food because of insecurity. Fake products are littered everywhere, but we have NAFDAC.

How much is the minimum wage?

We no longer have a middle class. You are either poor or rich.

All I want you to know is that our children will see worse things if we don’t do the right thing come 2027.

Poverty doesn’t choose tribe or religion.

If Nigeria gets better today, crime will reduce and your midnight prayers will end.

Your government is your God at this point.
