How can a man be extraordinarily gifted by God and yet profoundly undisciplined in his personal life?

Samson could tear a lion apart, but he struggled with his appetites.

He could defeat Philistines, but he repeatedly struggled to govern himself.

He possessed extraordinary external strength, but his internal world was often vulnerable.
(What a paradox)

And yet, God did not abandon His purpose merely because Samson was imperfect.
