The Spanish Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) reportedly believes Atlético Madrid’s Kang-in Lee should have been sent off for his challenge on Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde during Sunday’s Madrid derby.

Lee caught Valverde on the ankle with his studs, but referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias showed no card, and VAR did not intervene. The CTA reportedly considers the decision a refereeing error.
