To the Woman Who Is Carrying Everything

Some days, being a career woman feels like running a race while carrying everyone else’s bags.

You wake up thinking about the children, rush through breakfast thinking about that meeting, get to work and become the professional everyone needs you to be.
You solve problems, answer emails, manage people, and still manage to meet deadlines.

Then the workday ends — but your job as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, caregiver and homemaker doesn't.
There are school runs.
Homework.
Dinner.
Laundry.
Appointments.
Family needs.
Messages you haven't answered.
A child who suddenly needs your attention at 9:47 p.m.
And somewhere in all of it, there's a woman who is quietly wondering: When do I get to breathe?

The hardest part isn't always the workload. Sometimes, it's the guilt. Guilt that you aren't giving enough at work.
Guilt that you aren't giving enough at home.
Guilt that you're too tired to be fully present.
Guilt that you're pursuing your own dreams while someone else needs you.

But here's something I hope you remember: You were never meant to prove your worth by exhausting yourself.

You can love your family deeply and still have ambitions.
You can be committed to your career and still need rest.
You can be a good mother without being available every second.
You can build something for yourself without loving your family any less.

Some seasons will be messy. Some days you'll feel like you've dropped every ball. And some days, simply getting everyone through the day will be the achievement.

Remember to give yourself credit for the things nobody applauds.
The invisible planning.
The emotional labour.
The showing up when you're tired.
The choosing to try again tomorrow.

You may not be doing everything perfectly.
But you are doing something incredibly difficult — building a life while helping others build theirs.
And if it is one of those days when you're barely holding it together, take a breath.

You don't have to have it all figured out tonight. Tomorrow is another chance to begin again.
Sending peace, love and light your way.❤️
