Life is rarely a bed of roses, and as Job 14:1 reminds us, our days on earth are short and fraught with trials. Yet, this sobering reality should not breed despair; rather, it should provoke our mindset to number our days and apply true wisdom.

Because life is brief, we must set our priorities right. It is simply too short to waste on hatred, arrogance, vindictiveness, or self-centered materialism.

A key strategy for navigating this brief journey is leveraging the advantages of favour and grace, which—when combined with genuine diligence—set us far ahead.

Consider the example of Jesus, who accomplished monumental impact in a lifetime of just 33 years. He invited us to take His yoke, assuring us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Despite the brevity of His time on earth, His work was timeless because His drive was fiercely people-centric rather than selfish.

May we, too, live out our days in divine purpose, leaving a punchy, lasting impact on our world. Amen.
